I really like Malfy gin and I am trying each of their flavors this summer!
(Click here for my recipe with the blood orange gin.)
2 ounces Malfy Limon Gin
Fresh mint
Juice from 1/2 lemon
2 pumps lavender syrup
Sparkling water or tonic
In a cocktail shaker, add the gin, lemon juice, ice cubes and a sprig of mint. Shake the mixture vigorously. Strain the mixture into a glass add the lavender syrup and stir. Add fresh ice cubes to the glass and top with sparkling water. Garnish with fresh mint and lemon slice.
Virgin version - Lavender Lemonade
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 cup fresh lemon juice
Lavender syrup
5 cups still or sparkling water
Mint for garnish
In a small saucepan make the simple syrup with adding equal parts water and sugar. Bring to a boil until the sugar has dissolve. Set aside and let cool. Juice enough lemons to make 1 cup, about 5 1/2 lemons.
In a large pitcher, combine the cooled simple syrup and lemon juice, stir to combine. Top with either still or sparkling water. Add lavender syrup to your taste. ( About 1 - 2 pumps per cup of water.) You may want to add a drop or two of purple food coloring for the kids! Garnish with a lemon slice and fresh mint.
