This new restaurant in Fairfax, comes to us from California!
I have to say I love the ambiance of this restaurant! It has a California vibe from the outdoor fire pit to the glass garage door framing the bar area. It screams "I am fun!"
I wish the food had been as exciting as the decor. My friend and I split an order of the deep fried deviled eggs to start.
The candied bacon on top was a nice addition, but deep frying the egg whites makes them a bit rubbery.
The menu is extensive which always concerns me a bit. Can a restaurant prepare 100 different items well? I am all for choices, but sometimes it does affect the overall quality.
I ordered the 1/2 walnut chicken salad sandwich and chicken tortilla soup.
The portions were very generous and I did like the chicken salad. The soup would have been better if they had added less cheese!
Overall I give the place 3 stars out of 5. I did like it and I would bring my family here. Next time I will skip the soup and try the pot roast french dip!
