The Apple House is located in Linden, VA. You would not normally stop here unless you needed gas or you were headed to Front Royal. Open since 1963, this place is a throw back to a bygone era. Part restaurant, part bar, part gift shop, part bakery - there is something for everyone. Whether you need a gift, a plate of BBQ or a glass of local Virginia wine, this place is a little piece of Americana. I loved it! I only bought a coffee and donut, but next time I will linger longer. OHHH THAT APPLE CIDER DONUT!!
The gift shop is filled to the brim with local products, gourmet food items, local wines and kitchen stuff!
You can stop in for lunch, dinner or take a rest in their pub. What a warm and inviting space!
From the roaring fireplace to the twinkle lights, it is just a fun atmosphere.
Be sure to stop in the next time you are headed to Skyline Drive! It is worth it!
