I rate this restaurant 4 out of 5 stars, a very high ranking for me. I have to admit though that my favorite part of the meal was the wine! Cooper's Hawk is not only a restaurant, but a winery too! We ordered this month's wine which is kept in a barrel. It was served by aerating it right at the table. Yes, a little gimmicky, but I loved it. (and the wine tasted good too)
And who doesn't appreciate a spigot!!
Yes, I thought the food was good too. I ordered the short rib grilled cheese and tomato soup. I think my tomato soup is better (I will teach it again this fall!) but, the short ribs on toasted bread with melty cheese....YUM!
Have I mentioned they also have a Wine Club? You can visit them in Reston or Ashburn.
And if you decide to go, will you invite me? I am ready to go any time!
