Restaurant Parc de Ville ★★★★☆

There is a lovely French bistro at the Mosaic District. Our family ventured out on Saturday to celebrate my daughter's birthday! The restaurant is only open currently for dining in for dinner Wednesday - Sunday, 4 - 9 pm with a limited menu. They will also accept orders for take-out during those hours. The tables maintain the 6' social distancing requirement and they are enforcing mask wearing when you enter as well as moving about the restaurant. Once seated, you are not required to wear the mask any more.

Now on to the food...

We started with the onion soup! Have to start with the classic, right?

It was a flavorful broth with well carmelized onions and a generous amount of gruyere

cheese . It deserves two enthusiastic thumbs up!

My daughter ordered the trout almondine with a fennel sauce. It was delicious.

The rest of us are purists! When we go to a French bistro, one must order the steak frites!

Although the cut of steak was "Americanized", a NY strip steak instead of the traditional entrecôte, it was perfectly medium rare and the béarnaise sauce was a nice compliment. The fries were very crispy and delightful!

The ambiance was a bit lacking in my opinion which was partly due to the few diners, but I must mention that, Le Diplomate in DC is still my fav! But, if you want a nice French dinner closer than driving all the way to the district, Parc de Ville is a safe bet!

Bon appétit!
